This was inspired by the book Gates of Fire
If you like the movie 300 then you will love the book Gates of Fire. This book will change the way you look at the potential of people. Hope you like the art.

Orca-Stra
Hartford MFA Program...

What an amazing experience. This past week I have been surrounded by some of the most intelligent, insightful, warm-hearted and talented people I have ever met. Those who question magic in the world have never lived my shoes to experience it. This past two weeks have been a trial by fire that has reignighted the passion of why I desired to be an artist in the first place. It also comfirmed deep in me that idea...that in order to suceed we must be fearless. Fear is only a perception. A fantastic speaker Ron Mazellan said that three things keep us from sucess. These things are
1. Don't Complain...if you do you only find yourself with other people who complain and never get anything done or can't do the things that they need to get done. It will only wear on you and bring you down.
2. Stop Comparing yourself to others...We as artists need to be true to who we are or else we only be second rate versions of everybody else.
3. Never Conclude anything before it happens. If you conclude you'll fail at something before you even try you already failed. We all know the rule about assuming things...
Be Fearless.

S.ee E.merging A.rtists Contest

This poster was designed for an art show showcasing my students. Some of the expert judges included illustrators Don Brandes, Joe Thiel, Nick Wright and Andrew Wright to name just a few. My students loved the being judged by the respected illustrators and artists. The feedback the students got back was really helpful. The Ringling School of Art and Design connections can be handy at times.
